Success Stories
Color-Ware Inc.
The Port Authority made a loan of $145,000 in December 2009 to Structured
Holding LLC of Winona. The funding was used to acquire the building the
company, Color-Ware Inc. had previously leased. Since the loan, the company
has increased employment and sales.
Color-Ware sells custom colored and engraved versions of computers and
portable electronics. Color-Ware can color a device you already own. Until
three years ago, Color-Ware offered it's products--iPods, laptops from Apple,
Dell, and IBM, and gaming consoles, all in 28 colors--only to consumers. But
then the company tapped the corporate market, which now accounts for 75
percent sales, such as when Jaguar orders 300 iPods at a time in British
racing green.

One of the goals in establishing the Revolving Loan Fund was to stimulate
private sector investment resulting in the creation of permanent, private sector
jobs and increasing productivity. The fund has stimulated private investment
and leveraging the private sector dollars has expanded the amount of capital
available to small businesses.
